2. Shipping Information

Due to the high rate of Internet credit card fraud, we require all first-time customers to ship their initial order to the billing address of the credit card being used. After a successful delivery, subsequent orders may be shipped to an address that differs from the credit card's billing address.

Standard Delivery
Following credit card verification and approval, your order will be shipped out within 4 business days of receipt of your order, though typically they ship within 24 hours. All standard deliveries will be shipped via UPS Ground and should arrive within 3-10 business days. UPS, our preferred shipper, does not ship to P.O Boxes. Please supply a valid street address. International and PO Box orders ship on fridays only.

Shipping charges are determined according to the total dollar value of your order. See the chart below to estimate your ground shipping charges.

Multiple Shipments
We'll make multiple shipments for an additional charge.

Expedited Shipping
Two additional options are available for expedited shipping within the US only:
Three business days - add $5.00 Overnight - add $10.00
For 3-Day and Overnight orders, please order by 12 PM EST to be shipped the following day.
All overnight requests received on (placed thursday by 12PM ET) Friday will not arrive until the following Monday and all orders received over the weekend will not ship until Monday providing all the items ordered are in stock.

International Shipping
AMERICAN EXPRESS is the ONLY form of payment accepted for international orders (or domestic orders using credit cards of international origin).
Orders will be shipped via international courier and customers will be responsible for any applicable customs or taxes.
Orders will be shipped to the billing address of the credit card used for payment. No alternate shipping addresses allowed.
In addition, address verification for all international orders is mandatory. (Proof of address includes faxed copies of international drivers license, passport, and billing statements.) Please contact us if you have any questions.

Universal Gear reserves the right to refuse shipment of any package for any reason.

3. Return & Exchange Policy
Need to return something? We gladly accept returns made within 30 days of purchase, provided the item has not been worn.
Received a damaged item? We'll gladly exchange or refund the item as well.

Please note, due to health regulations, all sales on underwear, as well as bath and body products are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.

To return or exchange merchandise
1. Circle the item you're returning or exchanging on the enclosed invoice.
2. Note the reason for the return.
3. For returns, indicate whether you prefer a credit refund or a merchandise credit.
4. For exchanges, let us know what you would like by writing it in on the enclosed invoice. (We'll take care of the shipping charges to get the new item to you.)
5. Circle the name and address where we should send the exchanged item. If the address is different, please write that in as well.
6. Pack and seal your return securely (in the original package if possible) and include the invoice with instructions. Packages must be returned prepaid-we cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.
7. Now, you're ready to ship. For your own protection we suggest that you send all returns insured and in a traceable manner such as FedEx, UPS or USPS with delivery confirmation. We can not be held responsible for lost return packages. Send to:

Purchases made at universalgear.com may also be returned to any of our stores. If you choose this method you must have your original invoice and the credit card used to make the purchase. If you do not have the invoice or the credit card, the store will be able to either exchange the item or issue a store credit. The credit may be used either in the retail store or online.

Please note that all credits will be placed on the credit card used for the original purchase. Allow 4 weeks from the day you return your package for your account to be credited and allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement. Returns can only be made for items purchased at www.universalgear.com or one of our store locations.

Beyond 30 days, we'll issue a merchandise credit that can be used either online or one of our store locations. 4. Gift Cards
Wow, someone must really like you to have given you a Universal Gear gift card!
You can redeem your gift card in one of two ways:

1) Enter your 16-digit card number in the Gift Card section of checkout.

2) Call Universal Gear Customer Service at 1-800-204-1844 to place your order over the phone.

*Please note that all orders using gift cards as payment will require a credit card as well. For orders exceeding the amount of the gift card, the credit card information provided will be charged with the remainder. A hold will be placed on the credit card for the amount of the entire purchase until the gift card is entered by an associate. A $.01 charge will be made to the credit card used for all gift card orders, so that we may properly process the order.

5. Fitting Guide

Athletic Fit - An item that has a contoured fit, which accentuates the chest, shoulders and arms.
Regular Fit - An item that fits close to the chest, shoulders and arms.
Relaxed - An item that has a full fit through the chest, shoulders and arms.

Extreme Low Rise - An item with a rise less the 8”
Low Rise - An item that has a rise between 10” and 8”
Middle Rise - An item that has a rise between 12” and 10”

Slim - An item that fits tight on the leg.
Regular - An item that fits close to the leg
Relaxed - An item that fits full through the leg

Bootcut - An item with a leg that tapers in slightly at the knee and flares out at the leg opening.
Straight - An item with a leg that has the same width from knee to leg opening.
Tapered - An item with a leg that becomes narrower from the knee to the opening.

Other Important Terms

Broken Twill - The diagonal weave of the twill is intentionally interrupted to form a random design.
Ring Spun Denim - Denim that uses a more rugged and less refined yarn. The yarn adds character to the denim because of the “slubs,” or tiny knots of cotton, running through the cotton.
Selvage Denim - Denim produced on old 28/29 inch shuttle looms where the edges (the inside seems) of the denim are sewn closed. This is usually done with colorful stitching which identifies the manufacturer.
Stretch - Denim with synthetic fibers that give the fabric the ability to easily expand and recover. Styles with stretch typically run smaller.
